A sudden blip on your Message Centers alert indicator - "New message from HM414 Space Station", never heard of it... And the subject line sounds to good to be true - "Rare Restoration Chips in reward for materials and services".
But wait, HM414, isn't that an old name for the Howling Mine pirate station? But those Restoration Chips, having one of those could really change things. Let's have a look at this...
"I, Dread Castamir, well known throughout Entropia Space possess advanced Restoration Chips of both Adjusted, Improved and Modified levels. These chips are not for the wicked, ha ha, but as I also need materials for other projects and I'm willing to trade those chips to anyone who can deliver what I need.. A new "Mission Galactica" action has been hacked into your Action Library as you read this, are you capable enough to take on this quest and give me what I need, the Chips are yours..."
This Dread Castamir guy sounds kind of sketchy, maybe I should just ignore it.. but lets check if he really added stuff to the Action Library.. Oh, "Mission Galactica - Show Interplanetary Missions", let's click on that.. "Stage I - Vibrant Sweat", well I know what that is, maybe this is for me?
Mission Galactica is the first truly epic platform wide mission chain in Entropia Universe.
Mission Galactica provides you and players of all levels with long term goals to work toward, and rewards you for putting effort into improving your avatar, without forcing you away from your preferred activities in Entropia Universe.
Mission Galactica is the greatest mission chain yet in Entropia Universe.
Mission Galactica is not something you complete in a day; you will go at your own pace, progressing through Mission Galactica as your avatar grows stronger and your equipment improves. All this effort is not for nothing. At certain stages you are guaranteed the option to claim some of the best mission rewards yet seen in Entropia Universe!
Beginners will, through ordinary activities, gather and save up resources that are needed to advance to higher stages of Mission Galactica. When beginners have gained enough health and acquired appropriate gear they move on to hunting tougher and more challenging creatures - creatures that drop resources required in the next stage of Mission Galactica.
If beginners feel that they are not ready to advance to the next stage, they may trade their Mission Galactica progress to more experienced players. This allows experienced players to skip stages that are below their level, and it allows beginners to further invest in their avatars.
Even the most experienced players will face challenges in Mission Galactica that will give them reason to go above and beyond what their avatar is currently capable of.
Mission Galactica does not disturb the activities you currently devote your play time to, rather it enhances your gameplay, providing you with a higher purpose and an incentive to make your avatar grow stronger. You may hunt a wide variety of creatures at your level, on any planet of Entropia Universe, and still make progress in Mission Galactica.
Some may choose not partake in Mission Galactica at all, but will still benefit as demand for commonly found goods increases!
Mission Galactica is a work in progress. Some planned features have not yet been implemented, and further development of Mission Galactica is planned. That being said, it is still possible to complete any stage of Mission Galactica today.
Mission Galactica is divided into ten stages: each stage requires you to hand in a certain amount of a specified resource. The items required for a certain stage can be collected or looted from various creatures of appropriate difficulty on any planet in Entropia Universe.
Completing a stage earns you a special coin that can be traded in to unlock the next stage, or in some stages, to claim a reward!
The coins are tradeable - this allows you to start Mission Galactica on any stage, as long as you can get your hands on the required coin! If you so choose, you may end your Mission Galactica progress by trading your coin to another Entropian.
Mission Galactica is repeatable; you may repeat any stage of Mission Galactica as many times as you like, provided you have the required coin.
If you choose to claim a Restoration Chip, you will not receive the coin required to advance to the next stage. Your progress of Mission Galactica will be reset. You can activate Mission Galactica again, on any stage, as long as you have the required coin.
