Christmas is approaching, and we celebrate this merry season with the most popular event of the year - Merry Mayhem! This annual holiday event runs from December to January and offers something fun for everyone in Entropia Universe! Access Merry Mayhem wherever you are, no matter what planet you celebrate your holiday on!
If you’re out for a treat, Merry Mayhem Annihilation and Free-for-All (FFA) creatures have the potential to drop Christmas Strongboxes*, Mayhem Tokens, and Rare Mayhem Tokens! Merry Mayhem Annihilation also has reward thresholds, which you can unlock by reaching the point total required. Different rewards are given depending on which Mayhem Annihilation mission you accept.
On Calypso, you can access the Free-for-All (FFA) instance, as well as the Merry Snarg hunting mission for newcomers! You can find all the information you need further down below.
Gear up and fight your way to win your rewards and prizes!
*The Christmas Strongbox page will have updated information on Thursday, Dec. 12, 14:00 UTC.
Rewards in Merry Mayhem are based on performance in the event instances and are automatically unlocked and awarded when you meet specific points criteria.
Merry Mayhem rewards include Cosmetic Tokens, Mayhem Tokens, and Rare Mayhem Tokens, a recurring prize during other Mayhem-style events. You can exchange Cosmetic Tokens, Mayhem Tokens, and Rare Mayhem Tokens for exclusive items offered by the Mayhem Token Traders in Cape Corinth, Port Atlantis, and Twin Peaks on Planet Calypso.
Cosmetic Tokens, Mayhem Tokens, and Rare Mayhem Tokens can be accumulated throughout several events to purchase cosmetics and more expensive items, allowing participants to make incremental progress toward their desired rewards. Cosmetic Tokens, Mayhem Tokens, and Rare Mayhem Tokens are non-tradable, but the items purchased from the Mayhem Token Vendor are tradable.
Use the Global Events list to access the Mayhem Annihilation instances from any planet in Entropia Universe. Mayhem Annihilation has ten instances; browse the event list for the entrance appropriate for your avatar’s profession level.
You can assess the FFA Mayhem instances via the Santa's Little Helper NPCs in Fort Ithaca, Fort Zeus, and Nymphtown on Planet Calypso. The Santa’s Little Helper NPCs provide access to five different FFA Mayhem instances containing creatures of various levels.
The ten Mayhem Annihilation instances consist of a challenge of eliminating creatures of various difficulty levels. Switching between Annihilation instances at any time is possible regardless of your chosen mission.
Upon entering the instances, you can choose the following missions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Redulite. Each mission category has a determined number of points required to unlock rewards. Each mission chain features ten reward thresholds. For a more detailed description of the points necessary to reach certain reward thresholds, go to “Mayhem Annihilation Rewards.”
Participants may choose only one mission that cannot be restarted or repeated. Be careful not to abandon the mission once it starts!
Interact with the Julklapp inside to begin spawning Merry Creatures.
Eliminate Merry Creatures to accumulate points and unlock reward tiers. After defeating one of the event instance creatures, you will gain a random number of points (0, 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500). Higher-level creatures have a higher chance of awarding more points, regardless of the chosen mission.
The Free-for-All Mayhem division allows hunters (either solo or in teams) to compete for prizes in an unrestricted, no-holds-barred, single-category format.
You will access the FFA Mayhem instances via the Santa's Little Helper NPCs in Fort Ithaca, Fort Zeus, and Nymphtown on Planet Calypso.
Loot in the FFA Mayhem instances may contain FFA Mayhem Stars of different values. Your FFA Mayhem score is based on the combined value of the FFA Mayhem Stars you hand into the Santa’s Little Helper NPCs.
The FFA Mayhem Star tokens are tradable, allowing participants to sell their FFA Mayhem Star tokens to the highest bidder instead of handing them to the NPC’s.
FFA participants who want to participate in the FFA competition must hand in their FFA stars to a Santa’s Little Helper NPC before January 24, 14:00 UTC. Handing in your FFA stars will activate the FFA mission and add a Mission to your Mission Log UI.
Merry Snargs are on the rampage, and it’s up to you to keep them under control!
The Merry Snarg spawn will run during the time of the Merry Mayhem competition event; see the dates at the top of this page.
Activate the “Jul Snarg Hunt” mission by talking to the NPC Santa’s Little Helper by Port Atlantis East Gate [61614, 75294].
Note that you can only run the Jul Snarg Hunt mission once. If your Avatar completed the mission a previous year, the NPC will not hand out the mission again.
You can find the Merry Snargs at these approximate locations:
Completing the mission will award an Isis LLC 2 Merry Edition (L) Laser Rifle with Increased Laser Skill Gain.
Hunting Merry Snargs will also count towards or unlock the Snarg challenge in the Codex with valuable skill rewards. The Codex Snarg challenge is not dependent on having the Jul Snarg Hunt mission active.
This event is for solo hunters. Any attempt to abuse team mechanics or any other Entropia Universe systems or features to gain an unfair advantage over other participants will be grounds for disqualification from the event, forfeiture of prizes, and possible sanctions imposed on one’s Entropia Universe account.
Anyone found using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage or to win prizes will forfeit all prizes and risk additional sanctions on their Entropia Universe account(s), including potential account termination.
FFA participants who want to participate in the FFA competition should hand in their FFA stars to a Santa’s Little Helper NPC. Handing in the FFa stars will activate the FFA mission and add a Mission to your Mission Log. Once added, do not abandon the FFA Merry Mayhem mission. If you abandon the mission for any reason, intentionally or accidentally, all points earned up to that point will be lost forever and will not be included in your final event score. Support cannot restore points for abandoned missions.
